Fees and FAQs

The price list and cancellation policy of Engenius Tuition can be viewed below. Please ensure you agree with the information detailed below before accepting a tuition place. Accepting a tuition place acts as acceptance of the below policy details.


​All tuition must be paid for by the 1st day of each month - via any of the many payment methods we offer. Any invoices not paid by the 1st day of each month, will be automatically emailed out again on the 2nd day of each month. If payment is not received by the 2nd day of each month, your invoice will be emailed a third time, with a 25% interest payment added. Failure to make payment on the third day of the month (inclusive of the interest charge) will result in the loss of your child's tuition space.


We do not send individual emails or text messages to clients requesting payment - please ensure you save us in your email address book so our invoices do not end up in your 'junk' folder.


If your fee payment is the same each month, feel free to set up a standing order. If your fees vary each month, you could set up a direct debit through Go Cardless, which will automatically debit the fee amount each month from your bank account (Go Cardless email a couple of times before any payments are taken). This can be set up from your invoice.


The above payment terms relate to everyone. Regardless of whether your child's first tuition session of the month in question is on the 1st or the 25th, payment is still required by the 1st day of each month. We always send out invoices a week before month-end, so if you have not received your invoice by this time, please let us know. We encounter issues with emails being delivered from time-to-time, such as client inboxes being full, so if you alert us of the fact that you have not had sight of your invoice, we can re-send it to an alternative email address. However, the above terms still stand.

The above costs are for one hour lessons delivered online or face-to-face.

Cancellation policy and terms (01/01/17 onwards)

Engenius Tuition operates a 48-hour cancellation policy. Should you be unable to attend a session, and cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, the lesson fee is still payable. This is due to there being insufficient time for the lesson to be offered to another tutee.


Should you wish to leave Engenius Tuition permanently, there is a four-week notice period. Notice should be written, and sent via email. Any tuition paid for in advance, and unused as a result of leaving, is non-refundable.


Engenius Tuition will cancel the tuition space of any tutee who misses four in 10 sessions consecutively. Clients will be informed when they are nearing this threshold.


Engenius Tuition will not tolerate any form of abuse, and the tuition space of any abusive client will be cancelled with immediate effect. No refund will be given.


When a tuition space is reserved, acceptance of the above is assumed.

  • Where do tuition sessions take place?

    All sessions take place at our business premises (Engenius Tuition Ltd, Unit 4, Mount Mill Farm, Wicken, Buckinghamshire, MK19 6DG).

  • Should I reserve a tuition space in advance?

    We would strongly advise this. We already have children on our waiting list for 2027! Please contact us with the following information, to add your child to our waiting list:


    • Your full name
    • Your child’s full name
    • Your home address
    • Your mobile number
    • Your email address
    • The subject to be tutored
    • Your child’s school year
    • Your preference of days/times

    We will confirm that we have added your child to our waiting list, and will then be in touch as soon as something suitable becomes available.

  • Are the dates for the 11+ mock exams and 11 Masterclasses, of the academic year 2024 to 2025, confirmed yet?

    Yes. All dates are now confirmed as follows:


    - Mock 1: Fri 04/10/24, from 16:45-19:00

    - Mock 2: Fri 13/12/24, from 16:45-19:00

    - Mock 3: Fri 25/04/25, from 16:45-19:00

    - Mock 4: Fri 04/07/25, from 16:45-19:00

    - Mock 5: The final mock exam is part of the 11+ Masterclass, taking part on the third and final day of each. There are three dates to choose from -10th-12th August 2026, 17th-19th August 2026, and 24th-26th August 2026.
