About Engenius Tuition

After qualifying as a Secondary English Teacher in 2013, Emma started providing private tuition in English, Maths, and entrance exams in her spare time. Within the space of just two weeks, she was fully booked. It became apparent to her that many people wanted to employ the services of a tutor, but she simply didn’t have enough time for everyone, and found herself begrudgingly turning tutees away.
Though her heart was in tutoring, in 2013 Emma decided to focus on her full-time career, consequently being promoted to Leader of Literacy across the Curriculum in her first year of teaching, with a further promotion in her third year, to Head of KS3 English. Though Emma loved what she did, taking on these responsibilities did mean that she had to give up tutoring - something that she knew she would miss but also something she hoped she would return to at some point in the future.
In January 2017, Emma was able to re-launch Engenius Tuition and has tutored full-time ever since. Emma says, “Teaching in this environment is the ideal job for me; I absolutely love it! I am lucky enough to get to meet and support so many lovely families, whilst also working my schedule around my son. I’ve definitely found the perfect balance between working and being a Mama.”
To contact Emma with your tutoring needs, please get in touch. She tutors KS1-KS4 English and Maths, as well as entrance exams, such as the 11+.
